On to the fun stuff...

Willow Bedding by Kidsline - Baby Crib Bedding - 8307bed4

After some searching Todd and I found this bedding decor set that we both really like.

I like that it's cute without being to cutesy... I'm thinking that we will paint the walls a neutral tan color. I already ordered shades that are dark brown. We will also be getting new carpet. I think that we will go with a darker brown color for that as well (since it shouldn't show stains as much). Todd's Mom & Grandpa are helping us go all out for this room, and while I do think that it is a bit of a waste of $$ it may be our only chance for all of this fun stuff and I figure what the heck.

So now we will need to work on getting things cleaned out and re-organized. Of course I've been saying that for a while now.

I also ordered some of the retiring SU! "Play Date" scrapbook supplies & "Forrest Friends" stamp set to get a head start on the scrapbook. I'll be going to another scrap-booking weekend in Rockford with Todd's family in September so, it will be fun to have a project to work on for our own house. I've made lots of baby room decor over the years; it's fun to think that I'll be able to make some of my own things.

I also am finding it harder and harder to find things to wear so I'll need to do some purging and purchasing. I have bought just a few outfits for the baby at garage sales. I have yet to really purchase anything except diapers. I've been building up my stockpile of those with coupons and CVS bucks...

We have our next Dr.'s appointment next Tuesday. I'm not sure if we will do an ultrasound then or not I'll be just at 18 weeks. We won't be finding out what we are having, but it will still be exciting to see how much the little "critter" has grown since our last US which was only at 9 weeks.

After that I have Dr. appointment with my family Dr. and I plan to discuss with him my BP meds and weather or not I'll be able to BF or if I will have to use formula. I'm fine either way, but I would be nice to know if it will be a waste of our time to go to the BF class. My guess though is that we might not get an answer until we know how much medication I'm on at the end, and/or after the baby is here.

Marching to White Eagle Camp...

This week I was inspired by a fellow blogger @ I'm living Proof God has a sense of humor...

She re-posted a blog about Summer camp & first kisses...

This week 4-h'ers from our county are gather at Camp White Eagle.

I went to camp for 4 years. I my parents could only afford to send me one year as a camper.

The other 3 years I was a counselor. Those weeks spent at camp were so much fun...

The first year I went to camp I was only years old...going on nine... I remember that my friend Deanna went as well. Our classmate Ryan also was there and his parents were "camp Mom & Dad". I did not participate too many other activities other than swimming. I even took basket weaving because that activity was in the pool...

The last night at camp there was a dance. Now remember I was 8. I had never been to any kind of dance... That night I danced with Ryan (who was homesick even though his parents were at camp...go figure)...We danced to "It must have been Love" Later in Jr. high and HS. That would be our friends song and I would pull him out on the dance floor each time the song came up...

To be continued...

16 weeks

How far along: 16 weeks

Size of baby: According to baby center the baby is about the size of an avocado. 4.5 inches long and 3.5 oz.

Weight Gain: Haven't weighed myself

Belly: The people at church thought that I looked more preggers on Sunday so maybe it's staring to stick out a bit more now...

Stretch marks: Nothing new that I can tell..., but the round ligament pain at night seems to be happening...

Sleep: Now that the weather has cooled down sleeping is much better.

Best moment of the week: When the people at church said that I was starting to look more like there was a baby in there.

Movement: I did think that I maybe felt something Sunday morning, but it may just have been my stomach growling...

Symptoms: Round ligament pain...

Gender: We officially decided that we are not going to find out.

What I miss: Nothing at all

What I'm looking forward to: We are planning to do some shopping/ registering for the baby in the next couple of weeks.

Weekly wisdom: It sill not a great idea to brush you teeth before bed...uck...

Milestones: Starting to look "pregers" & making a few garage sale purchases...

Emotions: Getting more excited each week.

14 Weeks

How Far Along: 14 weeks 1 Day

Size of Baby:
Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces. According to Baby Center...

Picture of Baby: None this week. But we did have a Dr.'s appointment and the heart rate was 150 BPM.

Maternity Clothes: Started wearing a Bella band instead of a belt to hold my pants up...much more comfy.

Weight Gain: I've lost another 2# since I was at the Dr. 4 weeks ago...

Belly: Things a looking a little rounder, but Dr. said the baby uterus was way to the back so it could be a while before I have "bump"

Stretch Marks: nothing new...

Sleep: Definitely a little more restless at night...

Best Moment of the Week:Heard the heart beat at the Dr.'s appointment :)

Movement: Nothing yet...

Symptoms: They seem to be letting up as they should at this point. I'm not so tired and have my appetite back...

Food Cravings: Nothing really... I still really like bananas though...

Gender: Dr. Jokingly said that the heart rate was in "Girl Range"

What I Miss: Nothing really...

What I'm Looking Forward to: Maybe actually buying a few things for the baby now that we are in the second trimester...

Weekly Wisdom: Don't forget to drink lots of water on the weekends too...being "backed up" is no fun...

Milestones: Started the Second trimester...

Emotions: Feeling more comfortable about this pregnancy and looking forward to what to come.
